DEFRA announced further easing of movement restrictions on Wednesday 17th October with a return to 6-day standstills and lifting of the Surrey protection zone

On Monday 15th October DEFRA eased movement restrictions in the Bluetongue control and protection zones, allowing markets to resume trading in these areas

The Royal Bath & West Society has announced this week that the 2007 Smithfield Show due to have been held on 1st and 2nd December at the Bath & West Showground near Shepton Mallet has been cancelled
