Routes to market - the choices open to producers to reach consumers.

The Food and Drink Question Time event will be held on 27th January 2010.

In the post recession world we all hope to be in, the traditional routes to markets seem to be changing.

The role of online food and drink retailing, price comparison websites and reverse auctions mean food and drink producers have more choice about where they sell just as the consumers have more choice from whom they buy.

How do we communicate the differences in food and drink, who will be the winners and losers in the traditional supply chains?

The panel will represent a wide cross section of representatives who can tackle these and other current issues facing marketing food and drink.

The panel of speakers will include:

* Wilfred Emmanuel Jones, The Black Farmer and prospective Parliamentary candidate
* John Sheaves, CEO, Taste of the West
* Marcus Carter, Virtual Farmers Market
* Catherine Gazzoli , CEO, Slow Food UK Trust
* Mark Taylor, Commercial and Marketing Director, Dairy Crest

The event will start at 18:30 and finish at 21:00.
